When writing a bid, you must persuade your customer you are the best for the work. The key things to communicate are who you are, what you understand the work is, why you can do it and are a great choice; and how you will do.

The key parts of your bid proposal document are the bidder details, bid details and contractual information.

Your bidder details must include the most relevant activities and services to your customer.

Within the bid details, you must show you understand your customer’s needs and requirements. You then set out your solution. You must explain the steps you will take, how long, who will be doing the work and the related costs. Remember to demonstrate value.

Finally, there are the legal and contractual elements in relation to payments and what happens if the requirements change or are substituted.

There you are! It is as simple as who, what, why and how.
